1" Diaphragm Outlet Valve

While a piston-style outlet valve is recommended for most applications, a diaphragm outlet valve excels in situations where fine or aggressive media is used.

When the remote control handle is released, the diaphragm outlet valve releases the pressure inside the blast machine's pressure vessel. Fine abrasive can pass through an abrasive screen and destroy a piston-operated valve. In a situation like this, the resilient diaphragm valve is preferred due to longer part lifespan and more affordable repair costs. The diaphragm outlet valve features 1" plumbing and is built to accept a standard Clemco pop-up muffler. It is recommended for blasting with fine glass bead, garnet, aluminum oxide, or any abrasive that gets recycled until it is very fine, or abrasives that have a tendency to wear a hole in an abrasive trap screen.
