Job Title: Equipment Technician and Integrator Location: Clemtex Houston, 248 McCarty St, Houston, TX 22029 Employee Type: Full-Time Exempt Description: Assembly, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment on-site and customer locations—includes automated systems and standard blast/spray equipment.
Details:
Our company has two divisions. One division is sales of surface preparation and coating equipment. The other includes designing, constructing, and maintaining industrial automated equipment. This role will have responsibilities in both divisions.
Job Description:
Equipment Technician
Install new products and test them to ensure they are working correctly.
Educate clients on how to use and maintain equipment.
Perform maintenance and provide customer support.
Diagnose problems and come up with solutions to repair.
Order parts needed for repairs if needed
Maintain reports and records of performed services.
Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customers.
Build and maintain relationships with customers.
Customers located in Houston and the surrounding area
Monthly expense check for mileage driven and phone
Equipment Integrator
On-site design, assembly, and factory acceptance testing of our automated equipment
Traveling for commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated equipment
Traveling within the U.S.; potential for international traveling.
Traveling frequency: 1-2 times per month, average duration 2-3 days
All traveling expenses are covered while on work trips.
Travel is primarily into refineries. To enter refineries, you must submit to a background check and periodic drug and alcohol tests.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Technically inclined and willing to work hands-on with equipment
Experience with electrical systems and general pipe-fitting/industrial assembly
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment
Ability to work independently without much supervision.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to effectively manage time.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
At least five years of related experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of driving.
Lengthy periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 100 pounds at times.
Must be able to travel.
